Mean Annual Rainfall (mm)

The south-western corner of South Africa, which includes Wildcliff, has a Mediterranean climate, with wet winters and hot, dry summers. Its most famous climatic characteristic is its wind, which blows intermittently virtually all year round, either from the south-east or the north-west. Wildcliff is located in an area that receives medium to low amounts of rainfall, but is on the edge of areas of higher precipitaion as land elevation increases from the coastal lowlands.
